About the program

Thank you for your interest in Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

Our program offers a two-year fellowship training, accredited by the Jordan Medical Council. Our mission is to provide an exceptional patient-centered care delivered by interdisciplinary team to improve the quality of life for our patients.

We have a broad range of clinical settings, including inpatient hospice, inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics, pain management service, and home health care. Fellows will learn to deliver appropriate and individualized palliative care at diagnosis, during active treatment, in the event of acute medical illness, after completing treatment, and at end-of-life. This depth of exposure and training can prepare our fellows to work as leaders of interdisciplinary team and to prepare them as palliative care ambassadors no matter what career path they choose.

Curriculum

Our fellows will rotate in the following services: inpatient hospice, inpatient consultation service, inpatient pain management service, outpatient palliative care clinic, outpatient pain management clinic, and home health visits.
We also have a weekly didactic session, in addition to chart-review and case discussions.
