KHCF’s University Scholarships Program is a unique initiative tailored to benefit and provide comprehensive care and support to high school “Tawjihi” students who are currently undergoing treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
This program enables students to seamlessly pursue higher education or vocational training upon completing their Tawjihi studies by alleviating financial challenges to open new horizons of opportunity and growth for these courageous students, even in the face of health-related obstacles.
The University Scholarships Program aspires to instill a sense of optimism and empowerment within these aspiring young minds. It emphasizes that their dreams and aspirations remain vibrant and achievable, undiminished by illness, and can flourish with resilience and determination, and underscores the deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of education to create a brighter future for those battling cancer.
The Program has played a significant role in the wellbeing of patients by:
- Fostering seamless continuity of education for patients following their graduation from secondary school.
- Offering vital financial assistance by covering university tuition fees for patients.
- Empowering students and graduates to regain their confidence and self-esteem.
- Facilitating a smooth reintegration into society and supporting university applications for KHCC's Tawjihi patients.
- Raising awareness among universities about the unique care needs and follow-up required for Tawjihi students with cancer.
- Elevating the overall quality of education received by students after graduation.
