The pediatric oncology team has extensive experience in the treatment of children with cancer and cooperates with other specialties in the center including surgeons, radiologists, and radiation oncologists, among others. The department also provides a range of supportive services including pain management, play therapy, and psychological support.

Outpatient Clinics
Located in the 7th floor of the Khalifa Building, the pediatric outpatient clinics are designed to make children happy from the first moment they enter the door. The “cave of heroes” with a small theater and an equipped playroom is our patients’ favorite place. We try to provide as many services as possible through the clinics, including medical procedures (such as bone marrow biopsies (under sedation) and chemotherapy infusion (see below)), consultations with the oncology clinics, subspecialty clinics, social worker and psychological support.
Chemotherapy Unit
The outpatient chemotherapy unit can accommodate 10 patients receiving long infusions for a duration of one to 10 hours. Subject to the physician’s discretion, it is possible for some patients to receive chemotherapy treatment at home.
