The Saudi Fund for Development Donates $ 1 Million To Cover the Treatment for Syrian Patients
Amman- Under the patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, an MOU was signed between the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, Advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SFD.
The MOU states that SFD will donate $ 1 million to cover the cost of treatment for underprivileged Syrian patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
The MOU was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Eng. Yousif Bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of SFD. The signing was attended by H.E. Dr. Emad Fakhouri, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, and Dr. Asem Mansour, Director General of KHCC.
On this occasion, HRH Princess Ghida Talal expressed her deep gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia and the SFD for their generous support, saying: “On behalf of many Syrian cancer patients and their families, we thank the Saudi government for its generous donation and support. This donation will allow these patients to continue their life-saving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center”.
