Princess Ghida Talal Inaugurated the Jordan Breast Cancer Program’s 2nd Regional Conference

Amman, June 5, 2023 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) inaugurated the 2nd Regional Conference of the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) under the title "Integrated Approaches to Breast Cancer Control: Advancing Equity, Collaboration, and Community Voice.”

In her speech, Princess Ghida Talal stated: “We will continue to dedicate our efforts and capabilities toward raising awareness across Jordan and the region, until our women’s health becomes their top priority, and until each and every one of them performs their early detection examination without hesitation and fear, and without delay.”

The conference, which was held for two days, aimed to discuss the latest practices and challenges in combatting breast cancer, especially early detection examinations. It also included workshops for health service providers, including radiology specialists and technicians.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Feras Al Hawari, Minister of Health, Dr. Asem Mansour, CEO and Director General of KHCC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JBCP, and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, along with experts, speakers, and decision makers from more than 12 countries.
