Princess Ghida Meets with JBCP Beneficiaries and Supporters in Conjunction with the Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Amman, October 29, 2024 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), met with a group of female beneficiaries and supporters of the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP), which is led by KHCF. During the meeting, Princess Ghida listened to stories from survivors and health educators who discussed their roles in encouraging women to undergo early detection screenings.
Princess Ghida offered strong words of encouragement and empowerment for the Program’s beneficiaries, stating, "I call on every woman to take responsibility for her health and to promptly undergo early detection screening, which plays a vital role in saving lives."
The meeting coincided with the ninth annual Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, launched under the slogan "A Step for Life... Get Tested Now.” The campaign aims to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage Arab women to participate in early detection screenings, goals which were highlighted during the meeting.
In attendance were Dr. Asem Mansour, CEO and Director General of KHCC, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and one hundred women from various governorates across the Kingdom.
