Princess Ghida Talal Launches 8th Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Amman, October 1st, 2023 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), launched the 8th Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for the year 2023 under the slogan: "A Step Towards Life... Get Examined Now." This campaign, led by the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, aims to raise community awareness and encourage Arab women to undergo early detection screenings for breast cancer.

On the occasion of the launch, Princess Ghida stated: “Early detection screenings, especially mammograms, are a vital and life-saving step that women must take to protect their health.”

This year, more than 15 Arab countries participated in the 8th Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, including Algeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Mauritania, Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, Qatar, and Jordan.
