KHCF Signs MoU with Safwa Islamic Bank

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Mr. Samer Al-Tamimi, CEO of Safwa Islamic Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which the Bank will participate in KHCF’s Naming and Recognition Program through a perpetual charity donation to provide infrastructure, devices, and equipment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).  As a result of this donation, the vital signs examination room in the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Building at KHCC will be named after Safwa Islamic Bank.

Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish expressed her gratitude to Safwa Islamic Bank for its continuous cooperation, saying: "We appreciate the Bank's support to us. The Naming and Recognition Program is integral to the continuous evolution of KHCC’s services, and it helps us maintain the advanced level of services provided by the Center, in line with international standards."

For his part, Mr. Samer Al-Tamimi, CEO of Safwa Islamic Bank, said: “The extended and multi-pronged support that we provide to the Center and Foundation in support of their objective to provide and sustain specialized treatment services comes from our humanitarian mission. Our social endeavors are aimed towards a noble goal, one of which is to actively contribute to addressing health challenges - the most prominent of which is the fight against cancer - and consequently the preservation of human resources, which occupies a large share of our corporate social responsibility strategy and programs.”

The Naming and Recognition Program provides individuals and companies with the opportunity to name a room, space, suite, or floor at KHCC in the name of the donor, their company, or someone close to them in return for a donation equivalent to the value of that specific area.
