KHCF Receives Donation from Société Générale de Banque – Jordanie
Amman, September 29, 2021 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) received a donation of USD 28,208 from Société Générale de Banque – Jordanie (SGBJ). The generous donation, made to KHCF’s Goodwill fund, will cover medical treatment costs for the underprivileged currently being treated at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), as well as support KHCF’s efforts in mitigating the effects of medicine shortages in Lebanon by providing critical medication for cancer patients.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, thanked SGBJ, represented by Mr. Nadim Abawat, General Manager of SGBJ, for the bank’s donation, saying: “Cancer treatment always needs immediate action. We value SGBJ’s efforts in supporting holistic treatment for underprivileged patients at KHCC, and value the bank’s immediate action towards the ongoing cancer medication shortage crisis in Lebanon.”
Mr. Nadim Abawat stated: “SGBJ will always be keen to support the local society in general and KHCF’s noble cause towards cancer treatment in particular. Cancer treatment requires everyone’s collaboration.” He also noted that the ongoing medicine shortage crisis in Lebanon is the most difficult for cancer patients in particular.
