KHCF launches Zakat Campaign
Amman, April 4th, 2022 – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) launched its annual Zakat Campaign titled “Your Zakat is My Life” aiming to encourage Zakat donations towards supporting the medical treatment costs for underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
KHCF had received an official Fatwa from the General IFTAA’ Department in Jordan (Fatwa No.: 2/2006 Date: 22/3/2006), by which the foundation is eligible to receive Zakat donations to support underprivileged cancer patients.
The campaign was launched over audio-visual media and through KHCF and KHCC’s social media channels, by publishing the face of 4-year-old girl Ghazal, who received treatment at KHCC.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF stated: “We value the vital role of our supporters who gave hope to cancer patients throughout the years and stress the importance of social unity of efforts in the face of cancer. 80 new patients are added monthly to our Goodwill and Zakat Funds waiting lists, and continuing their treatment journey is a necessity and a social obligation”.
Donors can provide Zakat donations online through www.khcc.jo/zakat, or by calling KHCF on 0798777222.
KHCF’s Goodwill and Zakat Funds were established to support the medical treatment costs of underprivileged children and the elderly regardless of age, gender, or nationality.
