KHCF Launches "JordanXCancer" Initiative to Support KHCC Patients
Amman, September 5, 2020 - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) launched the "JordanXCancer" initiative, with the aim of raising funds to support the treatment of underprivileged cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). This initiative comes in partnership with the Jordan Tourism Board, and with the support of the main sponsor, Société Générale De Banque - Jordanie.
The "JordanXCancer" initiative will be launched in its first year with the participation of a team made up of media figures, athletes and social media influencers. Each member of the team will collect donations from individuals and companies to reach the desired goal as to support the treatment journey of cancer patients. The initiative will also include the team climbing the highest peak in Jordan, Umm Ad Dami mountain, next October.
Regarding this, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, said: “We appreciate the role of the supporters and participants in this initiative, as they were brought together by the spirit of giving in order to extend a helping hand to cancer patients. On our part, we encourage all segments of society to support such initiatives because fighting cancer and providing continuous support for our cause and our patients requires the solidarity of everyone, since cancer does not wait and unfortunately, it now affects every home, directly or indirectly".
Mr. Nadim Abawat, General Manager of Société Générale De Banque - Jordanie, said: “The bank believes in the noble mission of the KHCC in combating cancer.
We also believe that the work of banks should not be limited to providing banking services, but also to implementing a policy of social responsibility, as all private institutions must support their community".
