Aqaba Port Marine Services Company Supports The KHCC Building in Aqaba

Amman, August 2023: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed an agreement with Aqaba Port Marine Services Company through which the company has generously donated to establish and name a chemotherapy treatment unit at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) - King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein Building in Aqaba.

The collaboration will significantly support KHCC’s efforts to provide state-of-the-art medical care for cancer patients in the southern region of the kingdom and alleviate the burden of traveling to the capital. The building is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2024.

Commenting on this, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, stated: "Continuing to serve and care for cancer patients across Jordan requires the cooperation of various sectors. We value our partnership with Aqaba Port Marine Services Company and appreciate their support for our strategic expansion in southern Jordan."

On his part, Captain Dirk Wijnen, General Manager of Aqaba Port Marine Services Company, said: "The expansion carried out by KHCF through the establishment of the King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein Building in Aqaba aligns perfectly with Aqaba Port Marine Services Company’s corporate social responsibility program. The company is committed to supporting the local community, and its management is proud to be a part of KHCF’s family by contributing to the creation of this medical facility. This endeavor shall alleviate the burdens on cancer patients in Aqaba and Jordan’s southern governorates in general."
