Al Hussein Fund for Excellence Becomes Platinum Sponsor for the 2024 King Hussein Cancer Research Award

Amman, August 2024: Al Hussein Fund for Excellence signed a strategic partnership agreement with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), under which the Fund will be the platinum sponsor for the 2024 King Hussein Cancer Research Award. Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, KHCF’s Director General, and Dr. Ali Yaghi, Director General of Al Hussein Fund for Excellence, formalized the agreement during a signing ceremony.

Mrs. Qatamish emphasized that investing in scientific research and innovation has become more urgent than ever in the fight against cancer, highlighting the need to provide a supportive environment for exceptional researchers in the Arab world—a priority for the King Hussein Cancer Research Award.

Dr. Yaghi echoed this sentiment, reaffirming the Fund’s ongoing commitment to fostering creativity and excellence, particularly in scientific research that helps alleviate human suffering. He emphasized the significance of cancer research in developing data on the disease, its causes, and patient lifestyles, all of which contribute to better prevention and improved survival rates.
