Brain and Spinal Cord Tumors

Tumors can affect the central nervous system of the body, whose major organs consist of the brain and spinal cord. A tumor occurs when cells in the brain or spinal cord start to grow abnormally. The tumor can be either benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). However, even benign tumors can have major complications.

Spinal cord tumors are typically less common than brain tumors, but both types are treated by specialists at KHCC with extensive experience in neuro-oncology.
